3 applications that will help you save money in your daily life
If you want to save (money), you have to know these 3 apps.
These 3 apps will help you save in your everyday life.
Sharing is done by DECO PROteste, cited by Notícias ao Minuto, and reveals 3 apps that will help you save safely.
The organization evaluated the functionalities and requirements and concluded that these free applications are the right ones for you to learn how to save.
Mobile applications, in general, need to access sensitive data to function, and users must give them permission to do so. When downloading an app to the smartphone, it is important to grant only the strictly necessary permissions for its operation. In its analysis of these three applications, DECO PROteste found no evidence that these three applications share users' sensitive data with third parties," explains the consumer defense organization.
Now get to know the 3 applications and start saving now:
Money Manager
This application creates detailed charts and analysis based on expenses and revenues entered by users. Currently, it does not offer automatic integration with Portuguese banks, meaning users have to manually enter their financial transactions into the app.
In terms of cybersecurity, Money Manager is the only one that allows data exportation through external methods, such as spreadsheets, which protects user information at the expense of synchronization functionality, common to the other two applications.
2 - Toshl Finance
"With appealing graphics and expense categorization, Toshl Finance allows for automatic synchronization of user's bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial services. However, this feature is only available in the premium plan, costing 19 euros per year. If you wish to subscribe to this version, make sure to check if your bank is supported by the application."
The application presents a financial flow (of the current month or a longer period), which allows the user to recognize the path that the money takes from the moment it enters the account. It also allows importing data entered in a previous app or saved in Excel.
3 - Expenses - Budget manager
The app Expenses - Budget Manager (Android) or Budget and Expense Manager (iOS) is a free application with a simple and intuitive interface. The application creates graphics, showing spending patterns, or detailed reports for each period or category. In addition, it allows you to set up reminders for regular payments or income (credit installments and other payments, debt refunds, interest due, etc.). It also shows real-time exchange rates, which is particularly useful when traveling.
Out of the three analyzed apps, Gastos - Budget Manager (for Android) or Budget and Expenses Manager (for iPhone) is the only one completely free, fulfilling its function well, although with fewer features than competitors.
More attention, after installation, you must take care.
"To install any of these apps, access the Play Store if you have an Android smartphone, or the App Store if you have an iPhone. After that, be sure to regularly update the application, not only to improve its performance, but also to correct any security flaws," warns the organization.
In addition, "for greater protection, always opt for applications developed by well-known companies with good user reviews. Prefer those that offer strong authentication (two-factor authentication, for example) to defend against unauthorized access".
And also: "do not access the application through public internet networks, as they are more vulnerable to cyber attacks".
